Really cool game, I had fun playing!
I liked the music, graphics and general idea a lot.
My biggest criticism are the controls: Was there a specific reason why you picke 'z' as the activation button? As 'Z' is on the other side of the keyboard as the arrow keys meant that I couldn't play it with one hand, which I would have liked better.
I would have preferred Enter, or instead of using the arrow keys to use 'W', 'A', 'S', 'D' and then maybe 'F' as enter. Or something else, you get the point.
The idea with the mouse running around in a barrel was very serious, which was perfect. Props for that :)
Your tutorial was very helpful and needed, you did a great job on that. After using the tutorial I understood what I had to do and enjoyed washing peoples clothes. I didn't think when starting this that a little running around in a barrel could be so fun xD
I was a bit confused when in the barrel, why I could run into objects standing in my way. For the sock, which is soft, it made sense for the rat to get lost in, but why could I run into the treasure chest? I would have liked it better if I ran against the chest instead.
I encountered no bugs, and you're animations were smooth, I was quite impressed with that.
(Also, add on: Not everyone plays on an English key board. In other languages, the 'Z' key is somewhere else. I had to press 'Y', since Y is in the German keyboard in the same place where I assume on the English keyboard Z is.)
All in all: Cool game, I had fun playing it!
