It's funny you mention that- the very first design of the game included having to physically spin the clothes in the machine, and I agree wholeheartedly about that style being much more on theme. I was reluctant to try implementing that but looking back I should have gone for it! And honestly I agree about the machines, in a full game I'd definitely go for the 'scale up' satisfaction.
