i'm a huge fan of roguelite, incremental type games with a casino finish so this should be right up my alley. unfortunately the gambling mechanic just never really made sense to me, and i didn't really understand what i was buying, so my run fell apart and i didn't exactly know why. i might give it another run tomorrow to get some fresh perspective

If you were interested on trying it again I could explain it a little bit to clear some things up. The gambling mechanic is entirely optional and you could choose to bet on what type of section will get landed on. You can use this to your advantage by trying to build your wheel to include many of the same types of cards (see below comment where a player used a bunch of curses). Or, you can play it safe and just spin the wheel and avoid the gambling.
As for the buying if you're referring to the shop, I didn't have time to implement a UI tooltip hover so hovering your mouse on the 'i' will display information of what each section does.
