I finally completed this game. It's pretty simple and has a serious topic along with some light-hearted moments. The dev actually implemented my suggestion pretty early in playtesting (it was the menu that showed the upgrades you bought). I think it came from wanting a better sense of progression from buying the upgrades but also I didn't want to miss the story if that makes sense. If the story is important and is mainly told through text, make sure it's displayed clearly and not skipped as easily. Take inspiration from visual novels if you haven't already. (I'm not too familiar with that space though) My nitpicking aside, I've seen you've done a really good job on this game. :)
