I did consider a mechanic where bumping into them would cut them off prematurely, but I felt like it might trivialize the danger they pose.

The text seems to be really inconsistent too - sometimes it's fine, other times it's not, and I'm wondering if the adaptive contrast I tried to set up just wasn't working and I never noticed. Originally the objective marker was also really difficult to see so I had to tweak that too - it's one of the few things I wasn't happy with come release.
