OMG I saw some art of edgar and the female MC months ago on tiktok I think I had no idea it was for a game I literally jumped out of my seat when I saw him on the preview page of itch.io and realized it was for an actual game not just some random fanart! I am SOOOO happy you can play as a man too. male MC looks gorgeous. we love poc MCs <3
the art in this game is insanely good like the CGs are out of this world. lillian did their damndest like it's just breathtaking to look at. and the character designs are seriously incredible. massive kudos to them because I can't remember the last time I've been so taken in by CGs, and in a demo of all things. also awesome background art!
i'm enjoying the full voice acting as well -- some feedback i'd give is about male MC's voice; it feels particularly flat in its intonation, especially in comparison to the other characters and often loses the expected country twang, so it just sort of sounds like a modern person talking. it takes me out of the world a lot. it's certainly not cheap to voice record stuff so I understand if that can't be changed but for future iterations i'd love to see more emotion / grit / etc. because right now it falls flat compared to the other characters. there are some other npcs that I feel have a similar problem where they just kind of lack the natural ups and downs you'd expect in a fantasy world. similar feedback to above.
