simply i definitely learned that i really need to put a tutorial in my game  and how important a tutorial is rather then just putting a how to play in the description 

It depends on how complex the game is imo. I can imagine it must be difficult to implement one in a gamejam if there's a need for it, but a simple recurring popup with highlights/arrows and text to explain things wouldn't be too much work.

i had the arrow on the player to go to each objective i just needed to put in some sort of text explaining what to do or something. the thing is i didnt want to slap the "yellow paint" on everything.....

Creating a Tutorial is an ABSOLUTE BEAST of a task!! It takes 3 days to get Art out. It takes 4 days to write gameplay Logic. It takes 1 day to prperly test the game. … It takes 2 whole days just to create a Tutorial!!
