Yes, that is a bug caused by the developer (me) being too careless with certain code structures.
I plan to upload a patch next week, where starting a new save will be mandatory. Unfortunately, this is unavoidable, as I had to restructure almost everything in order to protect future versions from this kind of bug.
As a small compromise, I will be unlocking the skip forward option, so players can return to the point of their previous save as quickly as possible.
