Hmm. I've tried desaturating the background and the player kind of disappears. I've tried desaturating the AI but then they are too hard to see. Going brighter on the AI seems harsh on the eyes. I've tried desaturating the background and altering the player to be deeper but it doesn't seem to help as much as I'd like. I may try some added effects to the units this evening if I can get it in before the code lock. Thanks for the food for thought!

I added motion blur to the enemies. That seems to have helped a bit in making things pop and keep it clear where the hitboxes are as they spin. Thanks for the thoughtful insights.
