You're not too far off with pure C++. It's written in D and I used raylib for rendering.

We indeed had to cut some content. A heat wave was passing through the country which caused our day care to close. We lost some time this way.

The last level was indeed perhaps a bit too complicated. I should have made that one a little easier perhaps.
