Player have to choose the way main character reacting on circumstances. If player forced to choose how environment should change during player actions it is destroys the game lore. It is called oversimplification. Do you want happy end?- push that button, do you wish another end? - push these button. This is how it looks, it is not interesting.
tbh its very interesting and emotional imo, especially with the way they talked about loss of family members, but honestly asking, do you have an example of happy end/another end analysis? Cause i feel like thats in every game technically tbh, sometimes you can tell where that choice leads you, sometimes you get a surprise.
