Also I realise I could have worded my original response better: to have cloud saves, you need to purchase the game on steam rather than itch.io. Though apparently there is an itch.io app, I am unsure how that works but it may give you cloud saves without having to buy the game again

Although, I found an option for using steam saves, but it doesn't work (it literally does nothing). Idk if I need to install steam first or really buy it from steam. At least, I could find a "half solution": the folder where data is saved in Linux is "~/.config/unity3d". So I just copy pasted that folder to my other device. I hope eventually another method for syncing will be implemented
