......I'm getting so confused. I went back to turn 9 which is when I appointed Stoyan, and I just stalled at Draug for a few turns to get the alert that my genetics would be tested... but the scene where Zorana looks into her dad's science experiment never happens? Is it because the scene where she gets the genetics result takes precedence? I remember there was a thing that Zorana doesn't get the chance to even investigate if she doesn't have any suspicions, but surely the genetics result might make her suspicious that something weird is going on? But I'm on turn 15 and it still hasn't come up, not even after I studied science myself... I know that the event on Mau can make her suspicious, but I'm at the exact opposite end of the galaxy at Heru II... :(

Please tell me this playthrough wasn't already messed up right from the beginning when I never met Esmarai and chose to take over immediately rather than wait for confirmation that Dragocen is dead... :')

Okay :') I'm going back to turn 11 and heading off towards Mau instead, in case that works...

Update: it still didn't look like it was happening, so I've started a new save and am doing everything I can to make Zorana seem suspicious early on hahaha. And I'll swing by Mirelle and then Mau immediately.

SO it turns out that the option to make Zorana investigate her dad's death happens, like, one turn before the save I was loading back up :'D Honestly, it probably would've been simpler to take that first run I was doing and just svther bhg n jnl gb gevttre gur yvtug pbaqvgvba va orgjrra gur eraqrfibhm naq ghea 27, but oh well!!!!

And now, at last, just now, I have achieved success!!! Mbenan orpnzr n yhzra!!!!!! :DDDDD And then *immediately* died to an assassination attempt!!!!!!!!!

Welp. I already had to go back a few turns last minute because I forgot to get engaged to Jade lmao (rip the turn 24 event; Ethexae actually almost liked me!) sooooo let's try this again :'DDD

(Geez - getting all this AND genuinely trying to win the election really isn't easy??? n.n;;;)

:D I did it!!!!!!!!!!! I won the election, with 20 votes!!!!! :DDD hahahaha I started out pretty slow so I was really sceptical for a while but I went absolutely hog-wild on the Heru sector lmao winning votes and blackmailing and focusing terrifying attention onto a quest or two <333

Uwagh it's so cool to finally see the 'best' ending (at least of the ones I've gotten) ...but there's still so much to do!!! Like, zl oebgure qbrfa'g yvxr zr abj... :( Jnf ur bayl ubcvat gb trg gur pelfgny onpx fb ur pbhyq jvryq vg uvzfrys (cbffvoyl guebhtu bhe zbgure)? And I've still never learned the truth about the anti-grav stuff in Heru II... Or managed to save everyone from the Grib colony... And even if it's just because I did a lot of stuff in the beta that hasn't registered in the full game achievements, it'd be nice to have all the quests checked off...!!

I thought this would finally satiate all my curiosity and allow me to move on... Which I do kinda have to do because, uhh, I have a Big Bang fic to finish up and I kinda sorta took a few days off that to hyperfixate on this... But ahhhhhhh, right now I wanna start a new save again...! 🥺🥺

(Also I've noticed that there aren't a lot of GPZ youtube vids? I don't habitually make videos but I'm tempted to make a recording of the turn 27 variations if only for posterity and quick reference. Also I'd really like to make a characters section for the TV Tropes page but ahhh that's so many people... ooh I just googled it and I'm glad a wiki exists but it could use a lot of added info...... hmhmhmhmhm much to do~~~)

(also just for reference my laptop's charging port is currently deeply malfunctioning and I've been unable to use it while it's charging, which takes ages. so when I say that every time I've been on the computer within the last three days it's been to play Zorana...... hahaha MAN has it been fun though :DDD)
