although after a bad run in with starfinder my players will not do sifi (or post apocalypse and I love post apocalypse). I do adore the bulletin board. I use community boards in all my games with cork boards or cardboard depending if it's a con. I really  like how you pointed out that a mining world would have a more formal one with maybe an uprising out of place to draw attention. Makes me think of one in a war camp, dictatorship, or perhaps an elven town would be different from a dwarves, or mixed town. Lots to think about the differences in layout and styles

Absolutely! You could certainly theme the posters and such on the board for any genre. 

Starfinder is neat, but it's definitely got a lot of "fantasy" elements for being a "sci-fi" game. There are many sci-fi game flavors out there, maybe Traveller is right for you!
