I am trying to remember the exact sequence here since it’s been a couple years -
[spoilers]
- You must use the pipes in the back of the room to drain the fountain upstairs, and then pour 3 different syrups into the fountain. This causes some explosion that weakens the stalagmites above the bridge.
- then throw a hardened pancake at the lizard, making him roar. [/spoilers]
From what I remember, this was NOT very well signaled in the game and was pretty rough design - a side effect of it being my 2nd game - so many apologies.. I am impressed you made it there and thanks for playing!! :D
