Hey there! Thanks for reporting it, we've released a hotfix for this!
The handgun & grenade moveset, as we've already said, is highly experimental. This is one of the experimental parts. This has obviously been considered and for now we felt like an explosion on collision would make hand grenades extremely OP and straightforward to use.
