I enjoyed this! The world felt cohesive enough and everything worked out in the end. A few suggestions I came up with while playing:

  • I'm sure it's not just on my end, but I had to press E twice for everyone (I think) I talked to.
  • I'm impatient so I'm used to clicking dialogue to make it skip to the end, but here it skipped to the next line. I think it's standard practice to make it skip the text crawl first, then the next click goes to the next line.

And finally, I really liked the small things, like the characters bouncing around in the title screen, and the three bathrooms. Good job!

PS: It's pretty easy to export Godot to HTML5 and upload it to itch, and having a browser-playable game makes it way more likely that people try it.

Thank you for your suggestions. The double E clicking when talking to NPCs was an error I couldn't resolve in time, and the button to skip the dialogue until the end doesn't cross my mind. I'll definitely improve the game and make the web version when the jam ends.

I'm really happy you enjoyed my game, and thank you for your words.
