awesome game! love how it ties in with the game jam's theme and i thought the heat mechanic gave the game a little difficulty, especially at the end.
the ponder/thinking mechanic is cool! having to piece together not only the words but overall story was something i enjoyed. needing to keep your temp down wasn't a massive pain and the isotonic drinks helped a lot. felt like i would have struggled more throughout the experience but most of it was fairly intuitive.
i did think one part that was a little silly was at a point where the heroine had to go somewhere to progress, but her companion kinda prevented her with a (in my opinion) silly reason why she shouldn't, but i guess that's just a personal gripe. it's still understandable why at that point the heroine would still listen to her friend.
my positive points:
not too difficult to complete
the little bits of creepy parts were well done and the sudden change in the environment made me uneasy (reminded me of those creepypasta games)
the twist in the story (about your friend) was executed well
dynamic between the heroine and her friend was actually kinda sweet (not the imposter though)
at one point of the game after the twist if you wait for a bit you might get some extra differing dialogue (it was unexpected and freaked me out the first time)
music was nice (especially the epilogue track) and the art is vv cute!! the ending is everything
my neutral points:
the game is a little short. i'm not sure if making it longer would have overstayed its welcome but an extra stage/location would definitely be a plus.
wish there was more items you could have used. the iced coffee and fake isotonic drinks were nice touches but i wish there were more items that could affect the character/environment
playing on the browser actually made it creepier with the lags and slight slight freezing. at one point after you complete the park with the statue. if you go back to the previous area you see the heroine knocked out and frozen for a bit with no music. i thought that was really creepy (in a good way) but it might be annoying for some people.
my negative points:
i played the game twice and realized that you can miss the weapon needed to defeat the boss. i'm not sure how easy it is to do but on my second playthrough i did rush a little and wound up missing that event completely. someone could totally mistake the boss for being invincible or needing to defeat it by the forced pondering
no romancing your friend (jk)
fun little experience to be had and i enjoyed it vv much!!
p.s idk if i'm 100% sure it's intended but i love the subtle implication about suika (i hope i'm not actually crazy and over thinking that)
