This was a short, cute, fun story. I was actually pretty interested in the folklore specifically here - the idea behind the festival and the lore surrounding it was really interesting. The story itself, however, leaves a bit to be desired, glossing over and handwaving some events as if fulfilling a checklist and not telling a story. That, however, is something I can attribute to the fact that this is a jam and time constraints. I'd love to see this part of the tale returned to when the rest is added and fleshed out some more, finishing up the sketchy backgrounds and polishing up the story.
