hey, I'm sorry this took me so long to get around to - thank you kindlykelpie for stepping in for me! as mentioned, twine & sugarcube have been through a handful of updates since I made this in 2021, so if you're having trouble with the code (and those popup errors when loading are almost always in the javascript) it's worth checking the sugarcube documentation to see if something's been deprecated.
I'm not likely to update this template to the current version of sugarcube, but I hope it's still useful for understanding the basics! and thank you again for going out of your way to bugfix for me :-)
