It must be a hard challenge to create a good visual experience with only ASCII , specially in strategy games. I am a fan of deep realistic mechanics but the hardest part to get right is always the UI, being self explanatory and not feel overhelming. Pyrates is looking to be in good shape, is inspirational to see fellow devs with similar ideas as mine, keep it up.

Thank you! Yes, the ASCII interface is very make-believe for the player, but I'm an old player of ADOM and, so I hope an interesting mechanics and overall game concept can make up for what the game lacks in terms of graphics. Of course not everyone will like it, but not everyone likes everything anyway, so I'm just doing my thing, as the developer compromise on you Riverbound Empires puts it nicely.
