Thank you so much :D The early Castlevania games are some of my favorite. When I think of the NES, those games are what instantly comes to mind. Even though I know this game doesn't really play like Castlevania, I still wanted a kinda fantasy, spooky vibe with some funny moments. Your idea for major checkpoints is a good one.
