This is a bit of a tough one for me. On the one hand, there's a good amount of game here. On the other... The whole selling point is that you're on the back of big creatures or something of that sort. But, I think that ends up being a bit of detriment in the end. The areas are big, yes, but there's not a lot going on in them. There's a couple enemies here and there, there's big structures that don't have a lot of defined features, and it almost kinda feels empty. Which, in a dying world, which I think is the theme, it makes sense. But it's also... I don't know. The dash and sprint help with the long runs, but they're still pretty long. I think I just would've liked something more in the areas as while the style is cool, it's also a bit muggy and doesn't have all that much visual structures that personally stand out to me.
Some other things to note: The camera is really loose and it disorientates me sometimes even when I'm not moving my mouse all that fast. The game was also a little on the loud end and I couldn't find any options if there were any. Once I got the striking sigil, it kinda just became a win button. I'd have the enemies dead way before they reached me and there was nothing they could do to stop it, only to then later get enhanced with the cutting butterfly to increase my ranged capabilities.
It's not bad, but it leaves me personally wanting more out of my experience. Interesting take on the theme and congrats on everything you managed to accomplish here, honestly. That's a lot of content to make in a month. Kudos to you guys and an incredible job despite my take aways.
