the secret games manifesto reminds me of some website making advice i saw once that said "no one will click more than three times on your website, so make sure every single page is accessible within three links." i was like WOW that's all i have to do? i can put a page four links away and no one will find it? all of the stuff that i feel precious or shy about lives in that grey area that's technically public but also hidden away. there are so many games on my site that i would never put on itch because it feels so weird to have them displayed in the context of a storefront... if a stranger wants to find out what i really have to say, i want them to have to work for it! four+ clicks required!
