As to the progress... Hard to say. Still plenty of writing to be done. But it's definitely not stalled!
Right now I'm giving some focus to Valeriana and Neyli. Plus a bunch of new characters and locations that we're going to visit. Lots of content coming overall!
Honestly, it’s hard for me to pick a favorite because I enjoyed all of the routes, but if I had to choose, I’d probably say it’s between Rosalind’s and Selena’s. Their stories stood out the most to me, and their plots felt the most natural.
I saw some comments talking about wanting Selena to gain more weight, and I get why people would want that, but personally I think it would only work if it fits her story. I really like Selena’s character design and the dynamic she has with the MC, so I’d rather see her arc stay meaningful than have WG added just for the sake of it. I’d also really like to see Selena end up with the MC if that’s possible, because their relationship already feels like it has a lot of depth and chemistry.
That’s actually one of the reasons I liked your game so much. This is probably one of the best games I’ve played on this platform, because most of the others are just a grind to feed the characters, assuming there’s even a real plot lmao. Most of the time, the WG also feels so unrealistic that it takes me out of the story, and the grind gets tiring fast. With your game, I liked that there was an actual plot and that the WG felt more natural over time, even with the fantasy elements.
The one route I didn’t connect with as much was Liora’s. It was kind of sad seeing such a disciplined person let herself go. I think I personally would’ve liked it more if her design leaned toward her already being bigger and strong-looking, more bulky than just out of shape, but maybe that’s just me tho lol.
Overall though, I really enjoyed the story, the characters, and the gameplay. I especially love Selena’s character design, and I’m excited to see where Chapter 2 goes. Also, do you know of any other games similar to this one? I’d definitely love to play more like it.
I wish I could recommend another one. But I myself am not that well-oriented in the weight gain games. I played only a handful to get a general grasp on what do others offer. But I didn't really find any story-heavy games among them. Maybe once YummySinpie releases her game? But it's been quite a while since any game-related news.
As to Selena, I too get why people would like to see her bigger. Personally I think she's hit that sweet spot between weight and personal comfort. And if I decide to make her gain more, it'll likely be optional. And probably won't happen any time soon. She's an important character and I don't intend to write any elements just for the sake of them. I treat these characters and world seriously even if you could say "hey, it's just a fetish game!". And with Selena romance... I think the writing's got to be careful here. Because like you said, they already have a fun dynamic of friendship and a mutual back and forth. Introducing romance can often destroy that. And then there's Ellie too. But I have a plan!!
About Liora... did you know she has a slim ending? You can actually push her both ways! And I actually have a different read on her chubby ending. She doesn't seem sad. She can take on plenty of strong warriors even with extra bounciness. What she gets is a permission to relax. A chance to step away from the grind and the anxiety while still staying on top. Though maybe I have conveyed this badly ahaha.
