I love the game and the potential it has!

I came from the dev-vlog on your YouTube, I watched the original video you made on this game and early development on it, after watching your most recent video I was blown away, I really love the idea of a free roam dinosaur game where you take pictures, and just really take in the scenery, I am really stoked for the dinosaur model update you mentioned at the end of your most recent video on the game, I think that will take this to a whole new level!

I would like to address some bugs and issues that may or may not be known about, not sure if this happens for anyone else but upon accepting a contract and completing, I am not getting any XP to go towards my level progression, and not sure if it is intentional or not but if you do not have enough money to purchase an item in the shop you can still purchase the item, but it does put your money in the negatives, and each time you press "W" to accelerate in the vehicle is re-loops the audio for revving the jeep, these are the only issues I have ran into.

Now I do have some suggestions I think the game would strive off of, and some food for thought if you will, first one being like a Dinopedia or field journal, where photographing unlocks beautiful illustrated entries with real paleo facts, the next suggestion I have is add more customization to the jeep like, wheels, colors and possible livery or decal design options, as well as a working speedometer or cluster, the next idea is make it to where dinosaurs are more dynamic where they are not just wondering around all the time, where they can do different events like sleeping and add a photo badge if a player takes a picture of them in that state, my next suggestion would be co-op, just think you and your friend(s) in the same world with the same mission, taking top tier photos of dinosaurs, I think that would be a huge addition that many people possibly love.

That is all I got for now, all in all I do enjoy the game and the vision it has, I have a couple questions that I am really curious about, those being, do you have any sort of plans to release this game on steam or epic games, when this new dinosaur model update comes are is the lighting system still going to match the current vibe or will it be more focused around realism, such as games like the isle etc?

I can't wait to watch the next video you upload on the development process of this game, it is easy to enjoy. I thank you for the hard work you put into this game!

Wow, the Dinopedia is a really great idea.

Hey!

Thank you very much for both playing the game and watching the video. I'm glad you enjoyed them both!

The XP and Money bugs you've encountered are definitely strange. They aren't things I've encountered myself when playtesting. I wonder if many others have found this. Does this happen every time, even if you were to close and re-open the game?

I'll keep an eye out for reproducing this during the next update. If I can re-produce it, I'll get it fixed. And for the Jeep audio, I am aware of this. The audio set up for it is a bit simple and so you do get things like repeated sounds upon key press. Something to improve in the future.

Thank you for letting me know about these bugs - I had no idea this was possible.

For your suggestions:

The Dinopedia is very interesting. I actually have a longer term idea which falls generally in line with this kind of thing, so it's cool to see someone suggest this.

Jeep customisation is something which will come at some point. It's not a high priority, but it's something which feels like a natural fit with the game.

The behaviours is a big one. This is definitely going to improve over time and be given plenty of attention. The ecosystem makes up so much foundation for the game so we'll see this be iterated on over time, to include behaviours such as your suggestion.

Co-op/multiplayer has been quite a big suggestion over on YouTube. I can understand why. As you said yourself, you can imagine exploring the world and working together with a friend to take the best photos. However, multiplayer of any kind brings another layer of consideration and complexity to, more or less, the entire project. With how ambitious it already is, I don't see a sustainable way to bring multiplayer into it. I agree with the general desire to see it added, but from a developer point of view, I don't think it's a wise decision.

The game won't be coming to Steam/Epic Games in the next update. The game has a vision and right now it's not close to it. The next update is a step forward, but it's still too far away to be considering Steam releases yet. But for the future, hopefully yes!

For the lighting - it will be changing to support the realism of the world. The lighting will be a key factor in whether the assets look good, or great. But I am aware that realism can take away some of the colour and interest of a scene, so I'll be keeping that balance in mind.

Thank you for your notes and your suggestions. I appreciate you taking the time to share them. And thanks again for playing the game!
