It feels like you tried to make a sort of sequel to Higurashi Outbreak, but since the time of the VN is so far removed from the source material, the connections to Higurashi proper are tenuous at best. The paranoia in Higurashi is effectively nonexistent here. Honestly, the VN works better as a 28 Days Later fanfic than a Higurashi one, if it's to be a fanfic at all.
