After reading a bit about what many devs have said; I'm most probably going to continue using Ren'Py. It's what I've been using for years and moving to different engines every time something like this happens is just not productive in the long run. More and more engines are adding AI to their coding to a point where it feels like it will be (or already is on its way to becoming) unavoidable. Who's to say someone releases a new engine with no AI but then, after a few years, the same thing that happened with Ren'Py happens again?

At this point, in my opinion, what's best to do is minimize the damage as much as possible. In this case, using the engine BUT guarantee that the games themselves are completely free of AI stuff. Kinda like how vegans also can't follow through on being vegans 100% not because they don't want to but because certain vital products have animal stuff and there's just no way to avoid them or it's extremely difficult to do so.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, by the way! I appreciate it a lot; especially the fact that people know that I'm against having AI in my games.
