This game has so much to it! There are so many freaking possibilities to put to use and It's really interesting and really gets you thinking. Sadly there was a bug that allowed me to get infinite +200 every round by having the top of the screen since the start button didnt go away.Still pretty cool though! I loved all the different designs of characters and their investment opportunites, would be great if there wasnt a major bug, still great though and I'll definitely re-visit this!
Glad you enjoyed the game! Looks like you got the UI scaling bug...
On my computer it looks fine so I didn't know it was an issue on other computers until after I submitted. I'll have to adjust the canvas settings in the next build so it's consistent. Try scaling the browser size to 100% and see if that fixes it next time!
This game is brilliantly done and is extremely well made! I just couldn't wrap my head around it. lol. There is *soooo* much to keep track of its hard to even know what i'm actually doing. Great realism, but now I just feel completely hopeless. lol. If I can't figure out a game I got no chance at real life. I'm also just kind of dumb so take my experience with a grain of salt. haha.
Overall though, this is sooo well made! Its information dense, but with the deep level of realism to it I don't think there is much you can do about that, however you handled it gracefully by doing it in increments and keeping each text blob from becoming a text wall! Well done!
One thing I didn't really understand is what clicking the coins really did while they were rolling? Might be nice to have some more visual feedback on that. Also making the pigs jump instead of the entire coin itself since I lose clicks when it would jump up and chasing it meant I would lose on clicks if I had just stayed waiting for it to jump back down. Amazing symbolism/metaphor, but gameplay wise it just felt like the game was cheating me. haha. or not? honestly I couldnt' tell. I just clicked things and hoped it was doing something. haha. Maybe it adds 1% to the return per click? was hard to tell exactly. haha.
I would also love to be able to see what businesses I have invested in during the card picking phase too (maybe something I can click that pops up a list?)! For example, I pulled a "Celebrity Status" but couldn't remember if I actually had any entertainment industry investments or not. haha. Same once I got "Legal Expert" and "Veterans Benefits".
A really lovely game! On my next run i'm just gonna YOLO into OinKoin and call it a day. lol.
The graphics are really nice and nostalgic for me! (reminds me of old flash games from back in the day). The music was nice albeit a bit repetitive but still good!
I think this game as a learning tool is excellent for young folks looking to learn more about how actual finannce works! I may have killed too many braincells in my lifetime to fully grasp it personally. haha.
Really great work! Keep it up! There really isn't much I can suggest other than some more UI feedback possibly! This would be a great addition to Cool Math Games repertoire and I hope they seriously consider it because I think there are a lot of young people who could really benefit from this game!
Really appreciate your thorough feedback and thanks for pointing out areas of improvement!
There's definitely a balance to strike between having agency over the game and actually simulating the market. I made the "support" clicking intentionally weak as it teaches you that you can't run the businesses yourself. Originally wanted to use it to position your investments to avoid bears and hit bulls, but it caps out really fast at 1.2x so it's not good enough for that purpose. In a future update, I will make it so clicking on bears and bulls moves them instead of relying on your support modifier to navigate. I could also have left click actually put more money in the investment for better returns, though that may be reserved for a perk effect.
I agree that having a tab to show your current investments would be super helpful! It might also be worth it to sell them so you can afford something you couldn't before.

EDIT: I found the culprit! My canvas scaler was set to constant pixel size instead of screen size. Here's a super secret fixed version :) https://kittyking101.itch.io/bankroll-fixed?secret=9zXAzNHv1RAoEJYE1s3vj0glxH0

Great ideas! Overall it is a really awesome educational game! Amazing work! :)
Super Adorable rolling animations! Kinda like horse racing but with Knowledge! Nice work <3
Betting on horses is kinda like betting on investments, ain't it?
Glad you liked the animations!
