I didnt really enjoy it, the upgrades cost way too much for how little impact they had, i ended up falling into a routine where i just kept mindlessly shooting the balls aiming for medium power as fast as i could without even watching how they fell because i knew it was gonna take me several runs just to unlock 1 powerup which would only barely increase my income, for examply it took me 2 runs to unlock green balls, ok a ball that increases my score 20% cool, then i start the next run and all my balls are grey, then i finally got a single green ball on the run after that, then when i finally shot the green ball it hit like 2 pegs...so it took me 2 runs to unlock an upgrade that i didnt even see right away, only to have it increase my income by like 0.5% for 1 out of my next two runs...
another example is the teleporter thing took me several runs to unlock that, then i get it and it barely does anything, and then when it DOES catch a ball at the bottom it just sends it back to my laucnher? what the heck it should teleport it to the top so it can keep falling, sending it back to the launcher is pointless it just gives me an extra launch, i can get 6 more launches just by pressing the keep playing button when i run out so its basically worthless
ok so then i gind a bit more and unlock a laser, that sounds cool what could go wrong..... it shoots like 3 times in an entire run and hits a grey peg ever time giving me like 20 extra money each time.... 60 extra money? i need like 10,000-15,000 for an upgrade what is the point of 60 money
in a game like this upgrades should feel fun and rewarding and make you feel like youre getting cool powerups that change things in a meaningful way, they shouldnt be things that you barely even notice, or if you want to make them super weak then make them way cheaper
