Nat One is a great example of the potential of Game Jams to yield polished, complete works that have something to say. Though not impeccable, every aspect from writing to visuals and sound is made with skill and complement each other as to cover their individual faults. The MC's journey is compelling and easy to follow, if presented a slightly heavy hand at times. The one point I did not like was the project's wont for occasionally "banishing readers to the shadow realm." Nat One has plenty of quality custom BGs and perhaps in an attempt to avoid clashing those with stock photos, the devs decided to just leave scenes with a pure black background. Whether that was indeed the intention or not, these scenes look very awkward, and that's especially since they are surrounded by other quality assets. Still, that's only a blemish on a project chock-full of creative animations and thoughtful transitions. Within the bounds of a game jam, there's little above Nat One's class.
