I know it's not necessary but I've been progressing Kalim and Plana's quest up to FE9 per the guide. I talked to him at the festival but he disappeared and he doesn't appear in Drees, is there anything else I need to do?

If that’s the case, you might have missed one of Kalim’s encounters somehow. It is a rather difficult quest to keep track of because the only way you know for sure if you succeeded is right at the very end. If you’d like, you could share your save file and I could analyze what went wrong. Or, if you’re familiar with how to activate EasyRPG’s debug mode, you can navigate to the Variables menu and tell me what the value is for Variable #0472.
Thanks a lot, I was able to figure out the correct value for the quest with the variable you provided. Didn't know it would keep progressing even if you skip a flag but fail at the end.
It's a silly quest with no rewards but considering how many characters romance end in tragedy it would've bugged me if I couldn't give them a happy ending.
