But seriously, the meeting with Lexi was super weird. He was model-looking star athlete but has zero understanding of how partying, dancing, or talking to girls works? It's fine, tho...classic AVN MCs overreact to every stimuli so a story can happen and it appears like growth when they don't.
Randomly, it was Lexi leaving her clothes on top of his toilet after their first meeting. I cannot fathom why such a mundane mistake would warrant a "That bitch!" and an immediate text like she better come get them. Just sigh and put them in a plastic bag would be a normal reaction after all that craziness just happened. It was like the least irresponsible thing she did lol
What's really crazy is that the place they're in so broken that the baseline behavior to be considered a gentleman is to not sexually assault a woman while she's passed out drunk. I mean she was genuinely surprised, like it's the first time that's happened, which implies that most of the dudes around that town are r--pists. Then he says "I want you" to Lexi and THINKS 'on the team' instead of saying the logical sentence just so that forced misunderstanding about balls can happen. lol
And with Saki. "I am having none of this anymore. I'm done!" First, who talks like that? Second, he's been talking to her for 20 lines and has yet to say "I'm the volleyball coach", instead he's calling her a little shit over and over for no f--king reason!; and third, why is he giving her a hard time for vandalism like it's a felony when he's trying to recruit her to the team or his life is ruined, yadda, yadda? Wouldn't it be common f--king sense to just wait for the cops to leave so you can talk to her about what you came for?
hes saying its tough to continue reading and Id have to agree lmao. Like yeah let's keep the girl on the team assaulting people. It's an extremely boring and silly first hour of playing, the text pauses and 30 take intro cutscenes are goofy. This could be the guy stopping his dig for diamonds too early meme, but theres plenty of awesome options out there that I personally wouldnt blame anyone for benching this one.
Saying he's written that way about a character I think is written poorly makes no sense. It's not his attitude. Some people have anger issues. Impulse control. I get it. It's the author drilling that fact down your throat in every scene that makes it silly. I kept playing when he raised his f--king hand to the sweet girl just for basically raising her voice to defend herself, but then stands there when a different girl punches him in the face. Do you get it? Pick a personality. Don't make him do random shit to create drama bc you don't know how to do inciting incidents. Don't give me the illusion of choice when this sociopath is just going to flip over the table and erase that choice later. Don't make someone so utterly unlikable so that when he says please and thank you it seems like dramatic progress. Anyway, who GAF, I stopped playing after the comment, so if you guys want me to stop going in on this overrated pile of dung, leave me be.
Of course. Any disparaging opinion is stupid. Wrong? Subjectively, but stupid? You can see exactly what my gripes with the character were. It has nothing to do with the f--king copout disclaimer about the guy being an a-hole. There's a difference between being that and being illogical. He says cringe shit like he does it on purpose. He says something like "I will make you mine" to the one chick like the second time he met her. "I will be the one to make you happy next time" to the tall black chick. He was a f--king superstar volleyball player. He has talked to girls before, even if he's socially awkward due to being obsessed w/the game in his youth.
Yeah in that was in chapter 1, pretty sure the writing became better as it progressed. And really you can't really blame the dude for being that weird socially I know irl ppl who are like that myself included. Yes the Lexi part is valid I find it weird too but in other aspects it's good, good enough to see improvement. And besides a gooner game is a gooner game it needs its cliches if you don't like it then I dunno, you do you ig.(No hate)
