Overall:

A decent foundation with a clear gameplay loop and win condition with some genuinely nice visual and audio work.

What Worked Well:

  • Click to Grab: Being able to click to grab the puck is a cool mechanic.
  • Visuals and Audio: The procedurally generated SVG assets look good, the puck physics look and feel solid, and the sound of the ball pinging off walls works well. The music track fits too.

Areas for Improvement:

  • Puck Fling on Release: The puck doesn't carry momentum from how you click and release it.
  • Balance: The paddles are too small, and the enemy can hit toward you with far more speed and accuracy than you can manage against it.
  • Title Screen Animation: The puck on the title screen follows a sine wave path and ignores the paddles entirely. The idea has potential but it needs to actually consider the environment.
  • Start Button Hover State: The start button needs at least a basic hover state.
  • End Screen Layout: The SVGs on the end screen are placed in a janky way and need cleanup.
  • Overall Effort: Honestly it feels like you had GPT-5.5 generate the game in a single prompt and left it there. It would have been nice to see you push yourself and the idea further.

I'd appreciate a rating of my game if you haven't already.
