Thank you so much for your time and critique!. I also worked at a library in the past (just a few months ago as an intern) which is why wrote Tyler the way I did; I chose to put him in a bookstore, however, because I wanted to ground him in something he owned rather than something he managed.  I feel there's a different emotional weight to something you build from the ground up rather than something you manage.  The bond and attachment to your work and colleagues may still be there, but it's just... different, you know? 


Unfortunately, the food descriptions was one of the few things I had to cut out due to due time constraints (Aryaman and Tyler were supposed to have a longer conversation on the couch and then fuck and then have a conversation after that) and to manage stress.  Hopefully next year I try to find a way to manage my time better to get my initial writing done more quickly or I find an actual team to work with.
