Thank you so much for your critique!
Yeah, thus project was very difficult to work through in the span of one tiny month. I had originally planned on Tyler and Aryaman Meeting each other nine times but I thought it wouldve exceeded the word count so I stripped it down to just three. I had also planned for there to be a full Cafe scene and a sex scene but I had to scrap those as I was running out time. The sex scene was particularly sad for me to let go of because after it I wanted Aryaman to ponder about certain things regarding the creation of the Gandharva to Tyler.
Yeah, I can imagine there are a lot of typos. The word processor I opted to use for this project (Ellipsus) does not appear to have a spell checker. And I didn't really have time to do a properly beta read so I opted to rush through it as I add in the animations and such. Just things for me to consider in the future.
The customer scene and the background of Tortilla Ringer were both references to my other VN Nocturne.
I will say though there were multiple times throughout the ordeal of making this I just wanted to quit, especially coming down towards the end. I kept thinking to myself "I can't wait for this damn month to be over" so I'm glad the little jank I managed to put out in the end was at least a little bit enjoyable (I feel you can definitely see the rushed-down-ness coming down towards the end of the VN.
I had originally ended up writing Tyler's and Aryaman's initial meeting into another tirade against AI and, to avoid the airing of grievances thing you had mentioned, I scrapped it.
But all in all, thank you so much for your critique! It means alot
Thank you so much for your time and critique!. I also worked at a library in the past (just a few months ago as an intern) which is why wrote Tyler the way I did; I chose to put him in a bookstore, however, because I wanted to ground him in something he owned rather than something he managed. I feel there's a different emotional weight to something you build from the ground up rather than something you manage. The bond and attachment to your work and colleagues may still be there, but it's just... different, you know?
Unfortunately, the food descriptions was one of the few things I had to cut out due to due time constraints (Aryaman and Tyler were supposed to have a longer conversation on the couch and then fuck and then have a conversation after that) and to manage stress. Hopefully next year I try to find a way to manage my time better to get my initial writing done more quickly or I find an actual team to work with.
Thank you so much for the review!
AI models don't "train" on any one thing specifically, but they scrape information from across the internet and uses that. That sounds harmless by itself, but data that is taken--whether it be for image or text generation--is often without consent of the creators who made that data to begin with. What Google wants to do with its AI is scrape any and all information from its users Drives for its AI training.
I do use GDocs for its cloud features; its the easiest program for me to use on my Windows computers in my office, my MacBook at home, my iPad, and my Android phone. If I pretend my phone doesn't exist, then hosting all the files in my Mega drive looks to be the most viable solution. Once I'm done writing, I copy everything into the RenPy text editor on my working computer and then work on the code that way. I write my script in such a way that I can easily convert it to proper RenPy code
Thanks for your suggestions, though!
Whenever I go to update the VN on my phone, its keeps throwing me this error
The only thing that seems to work is deleting the app from my phone and then installing the update, but that deletes my save data in the process!
I'm using a Galaxy Note 10+ running Android 12 (don't know the specific version)

Forgive the long wait for my reply. Can you give me some more information on what device you're using and the operating system it's running?
Is the game giving you an error or is it just crashing and returning to your homescreen?
The only thing I can think of that may cause this would be the game getting corrupted during download, so maybe you could try re downloading the file.
If all else fails, I'll try to rectify this bug in the next update.
