You've got some good ideas going on here. I do like the concept of being transported to different maps in the guise of an NPC retelling a story.

The implementation needs a polish up since I was able to walk on the windows and sometimes the player would appear from behind the campfire animations which looked a bit odd.

I had to ragequit unfortunately in the 'loop' room - the main hall. I think turning off the random encounters would help that and allow the player to solve the puzzle in peace without the constant encounters.

There's a lot of potential in the game though, looking forward to see where you take it post-jam!
