no shade but like, if u wanted to have an inclusive mc u could've allowed character customization. there's no reason to have a pre-designed character (no hate to the game, especially since i've never played it. i just don't understand the need to create an mc that doesn't fit every individual if you wanted to have differentiation)
I think you might want to ask yourself why you are complaining about a black woman MC and talking about her as if she wasn't inclusive?
Why are you uncomfortable playing as her? Learn to put yourself in the shoes of others. Not everything has to represent you in particular. Don't use "inclusive" as a weapon against representation of marginalized people.
I think you are confusing inclusivity with representation. Having a black MC is representation, but “inclusive” means including different kinds of people, not simply representing one group instead of another. It's absolutely fine to have a black MC, but it is not inclusive, just as if the MC was white, it wouldn't be inclusive. Also, not all black people are going to feel represented by this MC either. They seem to be a woman, they have blue/purple hair, they have a certain body type etc. No single pre-designed character can represent everyone, and that is once again perfectly fine, but it is not inclusive.
I don't think the original commenter was saying they were uncomfortable playing as a black character in the first place. They were specifically talking about having a pre-designed MC instead of customization. Why immediately assume their issue was their skin color? It's okay to be passionate about black representation, but this felt unnecessarily aggressive.
It just breaks my heart to see so few black MCs in games and for one of the rare ones to be treated as inferior to a customisable MC that could be set as white.
They may not have meant to say that at all, yet I can't help but be upset about it. Black women MCs should be celebrated and not get hit with an "a customisable MC would've been more inclusive" when Sabrina was never meant to be that. Nowhere in the description is the world "inclusive" used. I want black women MCs to be able to exist in peace.
