This is crazy intriguing. I have been making a custom 360-degree system pretty much from scratch in Unity with inverted spheres over time for some projects in development but it looks like this may work really well as a possible alternative option and might turn out to be more intuitive for this specific type of thing.
I'll be sending a little bit of cash your way as support as I simply can't ignore the potential I see here.
