Yes, it worked effortlessly, though I am not sure how to change the highlight color for what is currently selected.
Also, when backing out of game settings or load game, the selection jumps back up to button 1 which will lead to players mis-clicking new game for a lot of setups, it needs to remember selection position when backing out of menus.

I just updated the V2.1 file with the fixes, there's a quality-of-life improvement that saves menu choices, as you suggested, and the button highlight color is in a more visible field now. Just download the 2.1 file again.
