Linux version now working with free puter AI. Say, if linux version working on your pc.

(1 edit)

will try, if I can remember my password for my linux pc that is..  hehe :)

finally remembered my linux password! :)

tried linux version and windows version. they both now work only if I am using llmstudio BUT only if I continue the story, if I try to make a new story or add a book I keep getting an error that says: error channel error. I tried a bunch of different ai models and they all do the same thing.

as for the Puter thing I tried that and totally do not understand it. if it works for me it will need to work with llmstudio, soz.

good luck if you keep trying :)  I will be keeping tabs on this project of yours just in case!

On lm studio you need 7b model at least. better model from small sized: gemma-2-9b-abliterated

oh ok, thank you! :) I have been trying tiny models just to test it, will use bigger models and am very hopeful that will work.

RE-download program (also linux). Now program process huge books (additional summarization added). problem was: if you send to ai (lm studio at most) large chunk of text (more than 20000 symbols), it return error. Added another summarizations, until result text file <20000 symbols. Now, gamebook creation will work with lm studio without issues.

advice: in lm stidio, model parameters set context overflow as rolling window, so ai will forget older data, and not data in the middle as on truncate middle, context of model set to 8092 at least

Tried weak model: llama-3.2-3b - with additional summarizations its worked. it's Ok, if your language - english, but not, if you want a book on other language (it mix english with another languages - many words half english-half another language).  Reccomended only on weak pc.

Question: puter ai works for you afther registration?

Puter I could never get working, but thanks soooo much for all your help :) I will now try llmstudio again.

What a problem with puter? And, Is it worth adding a character sheet, stat checks, and maybe even turn-based combat to a gamebook project? What's the standard approach for this?
