For me, the most intriguing element about this one is the set-up. Being a story about an arranged marriage between people who know so little about each other that, prior to the engagement, one party didn't even know the other's gender, there's plenty of room for the exploration of a myriad themes. Sadly, The Badger's Moon doesn't offer much beyond the bare minimum. While structure, worldbuilding, and characterisation are present, they all come too compressed by the project's scope. As I see it, the game lacks the space to present its narrative in an interesting way; every aspect is little too straightforward and predictable to be memorable. Visually, I found the poorly edited backgrounds to be a bad contrast with the much better sprites; I especially like how the latter's faces are always in profile, making expressions easily readable. Even if I didn't find it very remarkable, The Badger's Moon is certainly competent and short enough to just check out.
