Regarding the mouse cursor issue, I believe you were playing the web version. A few people have reported similar behavior there, but interestingly it doesn't seem to happen in the downloadable version. I'm still investigating what might be causing it, since everything works as expected outside the browser.
Thank you for mentioning it, though. Feedback like this helps me track down issues I might not encounter on my own.
