I really wonder if I'm the only one experiencing this. It simply won't progress at all. I don't know how to fix this kind of bug. When I try to start over, the gun doesn't work, so I can't proceed, and it's driving me crazy. I'm really curious if anyone has a solution. Please help me

If you drop to the lower floor below the walkway and continue to the end of the room, you are able to jump back up onto the walkway, effectively bypassing the gas corridor bit.
