This has some solid potential behind it. I had to fight the urge to pilot the ship like I was playing Asteroids, but otherwise it was nice and smooth. You should keep working on this one, really nice entry!
Oh thank you for the encouragement. I think I will keep working on it and see where it leads me. I can understand the confusion about the movement. It might be that the ship kind of looks it can only go forward. I will experiment and see what makes sense.
