Hi, if you don't use or associate the asset itself (or any adaptation) to sell as a adult content it's ok

Thank you for clarifying.

Just to make sure I understand correctly:

The asset would be used as the playable character sprite during normal 2D action gameplay.

If the player is defeated, the game may show optional adult/R18 still illustrations of the same playable character, but those still images would be separately commissioned from another artist. They would not use, edit, trace, or adapt your pixel art.

Your pixel art itself would not be modified into adult content, would not appear in explicit scenes, and would not be used in adult promotional images.

Would this still be acceptable, or would you prefer that your asset not represent a character who appears in adult/R18 events at all?

Well, if is about my opnion or preference I would not enjoy the ideia of, for example, a ilustration of Joanna being portraited in that way, but that's my personal opnion as the creator of the asset / character, the point is that considering the license you're are able to do it on your side and would be unfair of me to prohibit you, unless the ilustrations somehow are for sale or work as NFT (wich would not be allowed)

Thank you very much for your honest and thoughtful reply.

I’m sorry that I did not fully consider your feelings as the creator of Joanna when I asked about this use case. Even if the license may technically allow it, I don’t want to use your asset or character in a way that would make you uncomfortable.

So I will not use Joanna or your asset in an adult/R18 project, and I will not portray or associate the character with adult content.

I truly appreciate your kindness and the respectful way you explained your position. Your pixel art is wonderful, and I would still be happy to support or use your work in a non-adult project in the future.

Thank you again for your understanding.
