I provided instructions found in the start menu and pause menu, as well as a playthrough video of most of the levels. Without making a fully voiced step by step tutorial how could I solve this in a short game jam like this?
I think you misunderstood. I was able to figure it out by itself and found it a pleasant game. Though if I recall, there were some quirks. (E.g. I'd prefer it holding onto the road building state after button release rather than clicking the option again)
Oh no worries. You are able to hold shift as you are placing buildings and roads to continue with placement, in addition with roads you can hold down the mouse to keep placing, but if you let go and were not holding shift that ends placing road tiles.
