I really liked Diner Dreams. Good mechanics that meshed well with your storytelling style and animation/art style. A game of similar (smaller) size that focused on expanding mechanics a bit more and balancing/polishing them would be a hit IMO, even without H content.

other small businesses like car wash, laundromat/tailoring service, clothing store, pawn shop can offer some more variety in mechanics + really fun avenues for storytelling (pawn shop just lends itself to whacky people, car wash would be funny - how do we compete with the big $$$ one down the street? topless carwash? Anything that would add a sales mechanic (nice stochastic element that could be refined over time/with upgrades/training of employees)).
Another fun one would be managing like a pirate ship or a traveling merchant (set many hundreds of years in the past, or perhaps many hundreds into the future in SPAAAAACE!)
Or striking gold (or some made-up high value element) on a derelict farm that was inherited from a relative who passed away . Managing the mine and the miners (lol).
