I'm glad you liked Ace! The name is there to stay, it's actually part of their background story, though it's never referenced ingame (their Childe actually started calling them that since they forgot their name, kind of as a joke and it stuck), but I understand it doesn't really evoke "ancient vampire" energy.
Don't worry, I won't change the game on a whim due to reader feedback - that way lay madness. I'm just curious what people think and I find it useful to know for future projects what works and what doesn't.
