point 2 completely misses the entire point, but is the only relevant thing you could have said, because BOTH are free
the social media wasnt *the* problem, it was the straw that broke the camel's back
point 3 is literally only relevant if you can completely separate the fact that the developers are the only ones who are interested in using the software, so the broken trust is exactly what is happening here, but you cant acknowledge that because your ego refuses to let you
literally every single instance of "a godot fork" exists because this has been happening and people are tired of it
Okay then I would like an explanation from you on what the problem is if it's not social media.
I can acknowledge the fact that people are triggered about some twitter posts they made, but me (and many others) don't even pay attention to Godot's social media.
If you open up the software right now, what exactly are people tired of? using Godot or reading their "grrr, woke posts or whatever" if that's the case then maybe a simple solution would be to just close twitter/their forum and focus on developing games.
In my opinion, I think making a fork of Godot because you're "tired of" their behaviour is dumb for multiple reasons.
1) It doesn't affect the game engine
2) It doesn't affect anyone except those who actively participate in their community
So if the only way for me to develop games peacefully is to close my ears and keep on doing what I'm doing or downloading a worse, less updated and red version of Godot, I'll just keep on doing what I'm doing.
You can do whatever you want though, I just don't understand your situation.
